The Gilpin County Arts Association proudly announces its 70th juried art show in 2017. This is the longest continuously running juried show in Colorado. We invite artists to be a part of this historic event in Central City, CO. Open to artists in 8 western states: Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming. Deadline for entries is March 3, 2017. Jurors are John Fielder, Stephen Quiller and Bob Smith. Awards judge: Christopher Herron, Deputy Curator from Vance Kirkland Museum. Awards: Over $3,000 in cash prizes including $500 Best of Show, First, second, and third place awards will be given in three categories, 2D, 3D and Photography. It’s time for the 2016 Members Show at HIrschfeld Gallery at DU’s Chambers Center for the Advancement of Women for April 1, 2016 through May 27, 2016.
We need your best new works not seen at any other CAG show for this show. There is no theme this year but we will be looking for ideas for next show in August so keep your eyes open and check your email for opportunities to submit your ideas.
DEADLINE: To enter the show, you will need to submit via email by March 21, 2016 a photo of 1-2 pieces labeled with the

There will be a $10 submission fee for each piece that MUST be paid at the time you drop off the works for the show on Friday April 1st! Drop off will be in the morning but the exact times will be announced after we receive all submissions via email. Please keep in mind that this is a small venue with limited space to hang so we may not be able to hang more than one piece per member depending on the number of submissions.
IF you don’t have your work completed at the time of the deadline, but you are sure you will have it completed (and thoroughly dried) by the hang date, you can submit your intent by the deadline with details as to your size and other required info.
Only PAID members of Colorado Artists Guild are eligible for this show, so if you know someone that wants to participate, they need to have their membership dues to CAG no later than March 21, 2016 to be considered for this opportunity!

Welcome to the fifth year of the Art on Loan program for Senator Michael Bennet’s Washington D.C. office, coordinated by the Colorado Artists Guild.
We have exciting news, beginning with this year’s submission, we have now been asked to expand this art on loan program to include Senator Cory Gardner’s office as well.
Senator Bennet and his staff are again looking for 12 to 15 pieces of 2D artwork and possibly 2 or 3 sculptural pieces. Because the Senator’s office and conference rooms have 25 ft ceilings, they would like large pieces of artwork with a minimum height of 36 inches (including frame). As for style, they continue to be open to all submissions.
Senator Gardner and his staff are looking for a mix of sizes. Like Senator Bennet’s office, they have a few rooms with 25ft ceilings, but they also have other rooms that are smaller, so could use a few pieces of artwork in the 18” to 24” size range. The style they are looking for is a little more specific. Senator Gardner enjoys artwork that is more historic, and because he is from the eastern plains he would like see artwork that represents that part of the state as well.

The Boulder Art Association is accepting call for entries for our Labor Day Juried Art Exhibition & Sale through Wednesday, July 15, 2015. The show will held in the gallery space of the beautiful new Hyatt Place Hotel in the new commercial district at the crossroads of Pearl and 30th Streets in Boulder, CO.
You don’t have to be a member of the Boulder Art Association to enter the show. You can enter up to 3 pieces of art. This is an excellent opportunity for emerging and professional artists to showcase their art to the Boulder community and connect with potential patrons and customers. We will also award over $1,000 in prizes at the show!
Sale of Bin Work at the Show
Even if an entry isn’t accepted into the show, another benefit of being an entrant is that artists can sell bin work in the show gift shop. Bin work can include cards, card sets, small format art and miniatures. Gift shop submission guidelines will be sent with your notification letter after entry.

The Abbey Events Complex in Cañon City announces a call to artists for the Sixth Annual Religious Fine Art Show opening August 3rd, 2015. We are seeking works in a wide range of media and genres, that are religious, (all religions accepted), inspirational or Abbey related in some way. All mediums will be accepted including but not limited to oil, watercolor, pastel, chalk/pencil, printmaking, sculpture, photography, digital art, mixed media, illustrations, fiber art, etc. We’re looking for both quality and creativity. Large art pieces are welcome. Professionals as well as artists of all ages are encouraged to enter. We also feature a Children’s Exhibit for children ages 14 & under. Each child is limited to one art piece, $5.00 entry fee.
The Entry fee is $30.00 per Artist for the first three pieces; any additional pieces are $3.00 each. Entry fee includes one ticket to the artist reception. There is No Limit on the number of pieces you may enter. Registration and delivery of art pieces may be received anytime during regular business hours beginning July 1 but no later than Wednesday July 29th. Pieces may be delivered to The Abbey at 2951 E. Hwy. 50, Cañon City.
The art show will be open August 3rd through September 27th, 2015 from 9 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday and 10 am to 3 pm Saturdays in The Abbey Monastery. Admission to the art show is free. An artist reception will be held Friday, September 18th rom 5 pm to 7pm, tickets to the Artist Reception are $10 each. A “People’s Choice” award will be given in the adult category and children’s category at the artist reception.
