Please join us this Wednesday when we will have Tiffany Miller Russell talking about her Paper Sculptures.
Tiffany’s sculptures are created from specialty art papers, which are cut flat and then formed and shaped by hand. Patterns, colors, and textures of the available paper are utilized, and can be subtly tinted with pastels, or collaged to mimic brushstrokes. Tiffany explores the limits of her art materials and strives to create sculpture that resembles painting.
Her work celebrates nature, the diversity of life, and the individuality of animals and their relationship to the world. Her bas-relief collages intrigue and engage, creating inviting glimpses of familiar worlds that display a heightened sense of reality.
